Announcing "The Advisor"
The Association of Independent Consultants (AIC) announces the publication of The Advisor, a journal for independent consultants.
As you are on the AIC announcment list, the publishers are offering you the opportunity to write for the Advisor.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Editorial Board using the following criteria:
- The article must be original work, written by the person submitting it.
- The article must be on a subject of interest and value to independent consultants.
- The article cannot be self-promotional, or promote any product or service. If a product or service is mentioned, a competitive product or service must be included to maintain balance. You can use examples from your own experience to explain how what you are talking about was achieved, if they illuminate the point. If they are gratuitous and are simply there to show off your services, the editorial committee will reject the article.
- The article must be well written. Minor grammatical edits will be made, if required, to otherwise acceptable articles, without recourse to the author. If major revisions are required, the article will be returned to the author for re-work.
- The length of articles can range from a 250-word quick tip, to a 3000-word major article. The longer the article, the deeper and more interesting it must be.
The first issue of The Advisor is scheduled for mid-January, 2010. If you wish to submit an article, the deadline for this issue is December 20, 2009.
If you wish to contribute, please e-mail info1@aiconsult.ca and ask for a copy of the Submissions Guidelines.
I look forward to your articles.
