Membership Changes for 2010
2009 has been a challenging year for AIC. Costs are up for the room and meeting fees are no longer always covering these costs. Your Board of Directors was faced with a dilemma. Raise meeting fees or raise membership fees. Which was it to be?
We came up with another option, one which gives our members' more value while allowing AIC to remain solvent.
Beginning in 2010, membership in AIC will now include:
1. All regular networking meetings FREE for members.
2. One special event per year FREE to members ($200 registration for non-members).
3. A substantial fee reduction on other special events hosted by AIC. The first such special event is a 5-hour intensive workshop on sales and marketing. (Date to be arranged, likely March or April.) More announcements to come about special events.
Additional benefits include:
- Shorter registration line-ups at all events
- You no longer need to register and/or pay in advance
- By adding bigger, more intensive events to the AIC calendar you get greater learning opportunities and a wider scope for networking - both designed to increase your effectiveness as an independent consultant.
Membership rate: 2010: $199, 2011: $249, 2012: $299
Member fee to attend meetings: 2010: $0, 2011: $0, 2012: $0
Visitor rate to attend meeting: 2010: $30 2011: $35 2012: $40
Guest (When you bring a guest) rate to attend meeting: 2010: $25 2011: $30 2012: $35
Until your month of renewal, the member rate to attend meetings (which applies in 2010 only) continues to be $10.
BONUS INCENTIVE: As a bonus for our loyal members, during 2010, any member renewing PRIOR to their actual due date (must be paid one month in advance without exception) receives a $50 discount.
