Newsletter—June 2012

Guilt Free Summer Returns to AIC!

With the arrival of the summer solstice (and the first big heat wave of the summer) comes this newsletter, reminding you that AIC’s “Guilt Free Summer” is upon us once again!

Last year’s “Guilt Free July” was so popular, we’re doing it for the whole summer—June, July and August—and we’ll be back presenting events in September. Instead of making you feel guilty for missing any summer events while you enjoy some vacation or just some time off, the Board has decided to give us all a break wuth NO events this summer. Relax, enjoy yourself and we’ll see you again in September (there’s a song in there somewhere, I think).

There will be no AIC events this summer! But we’ll be back in the fall!

The Board has been meeting regularly since our last event and we’re hard at work planning the balance of our programming year, when we return from the summer hiatus. (We’ve been so busy that somehow I lost track of the weeks and got really behind on sending out this notice—my apologies). You will be hearing from us during the summer with regular updates and with our usual assortment of interesting articles and links.

In the meantime, please enjoy a nice, guilt-free summer courtesy of AIC and we’ll see you all when our programming year re-starts in the fall.

Board News

We’d like to welcome aboard our new VP Finance, Edwin Law. Edwin is taking over this position from our President in this portfolio, whose been doing double duty for a couple of months.

We still have two important vacant positions, VP Marketing/Publicity and VP Programming (that’s the person who finds and arranges our speakers) and if you are interested in either of these two positions, please contact Lawrence (the President) ASAP.

27-Jun-2012 Since this newsletter went out via email to our members and subscribers, the VP Marketing/PUblicity position has been filled (more details to come), but we’re still looking for a new VP of Programming!
